This notice explains how Estuary collects and uses personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry, or book a chair massage.
Who we are
Estuary is a partnership of Niya Shambler and Justin Deery, providing on-site chair massage. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at hello@estuarychairmassage.co.uk.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone number, company, and details of your event or workplace.
- Bookings: names and contact details of staff who book a session, and the time slot they choose.
- Health information: before a massage, each person completes a short health and consent form, so the therapist can work safely.
- Payments and invoices: billing contact details. We do not store card details.
- Website use: basic information collected through cookies, such as pages visited.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your booking (to take steps towards, and perform, a contract).
- To send invoices and keep financial records (legal obligation).
- To keep massage safe, using health information only with each person's explicit consent.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it (legitimate interests).
We never sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails without your permission.
Who we share it with
We use trusted services to run our business, including Squarespace (website and forms), Google (email and spreadsheets), and our booking and form tools. Some of these providers store data outside the UK, under safeguards approved for UK data protection law. The therapist attending your session sees only the bookings and health forms they need for that day.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 2 years.
- Booking and invoice records: 6 years, as required for tax.
- Health and consent forms: up to 7 years, as advised by our insurers, then securely deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. You can withdraw consent for health information at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies to help us understand visits. You can manage cookies through the banner on our site or your browser settings.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
